Sustainable Life App is seeking a controller and financial analyst! Our platform is all about sustainable living! Our app already exists on both Apple, Android and we have a rocking website. What we need is for someone to come aboard and help elevate our platform to the next level. Our previous developer will provide full training and be available to provide support and guidance for the chosen candidate throughout the internship.

This is an amazing opportunity to help create and maintain a product that will inspire change! We help consumers live a sustainable lifestyle and we provide businesses and brands with user analytics and an easy platform to connect with their consumers on a whole new level. This role is full of many different types of tasks and we will provide access to training + working with many types of technology platforms - What we feel will be a truly worthwhile internship experience.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the CEO, you will: 
  •  
  • - Create a comprehensive financial model interconnecting all of our various avenues for revenue. 
  • - Helping create budgets for all of our municipality partners. 
  • - Preparation of a monthly financial package, reports and key monthly working papers.
  • - Oversight of payroll activities and processes.

- Gather and enter financial data, analyzing results, investigating variances, forecasting, etc. + accounting for our expenses

 

Education Required

 

Post secondary diploma or degree in financial managment - CFA certification preferred. 

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • This position is being made possible through grant funding through the Digital Skills for Youth program funded by the Canadian government. In order to be elibible, candidates must:
  •  
  • - Be between the ages of 15 and 30, inclusive, at the start of the internship
  • - Be a post-secondary graduate (i.e. has completed a diploma or degree following secondary education - not currently a student)
  • - Not be in receipt of EI during the course of the work placement,
  • - Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e. Canadian citizen, permanent Resident or person who has been granted refugee status), and
  • - Self-assess as underemployed, meaning they are employed below their level of education and/or hold part-time employment, or are unemployed.
  • - Be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week from April 1 (est start date) until October 1, 2021
